The loop wheel knitting machines were used to produce sweatshirts until the mid-1960’s.

It takes about 1 hour to make 1 meter of fabric with a craftsman who adjusts the machine during the operations. That explains why they have been replaced by faster and cheaper quality machines in the West. Its main characteristic is the softness of the fabric, even after several washes leaving a pleasant plush feel. It is said that it is ‘’as soft as human skin’’.

Furthermore, it is also much stronger and durable. There are only 200 loop wheel machines in operation in the world and they are all located in the Wakayama prefecture in Japan.

Spring is finally here, leave your jacket in the wardrobe and get your loopwheel essentials here!
