New Arrival: Big John
We have received some goodies from our friends at Big John again!
This time, we got the crème de la crème of Big John jeans; RARE. RARE is the flagship model of this pioneer brand of Japanese denim. RARE was first introduced in 1980 as the first Japanese selvedge jeans, and was renewed with Natural Indigo in 1997 in a very limited quantity. In 2010, the 3rd generation of RARE was created to commemorate the company's 70th anniversary. From choosing cotton plants to the finishing of the jeans, they poured every resources possible to pursue the best quality jeans they could make in Japan.
There are incredible amount of details in RARE such as indigo dyed deer leather patch and 15.5oz undyed denim pocket lining. Check out product page for details. In short, this is Big John's masterpiece and it's proven to be durable and fade beautifully. This 15.5oz unsanforized denim comes in Slim Tapered fit.
Another new addition to Tate + Yoko is M106D Kuro2 in Slim Tapered fit. This sanforized balck x black denim uses yarns that are rope-dyed in indigo first, and then dyed in black over that. So this fabric fades into blue before it reaches the white core, creating an interesting shade in the process.
Along with those 2 styles, we also received restock of Slim Tapered in Faux Slub.
