Indigo Tradition Canvas
The Indigo Tradition Canvas is a tribute to traditional Japanese indigo dye methods. This plain weave duck canvas is rope dyed on both warp and weft sides to produce a rich, dark indigo hue.
During the rope dye process, the yarns are dipped into indigo vats repeatedly, never sitting in the dye long enough to permeate the core of the yarn. The resulting yarn has layer upon layer of indigo dye built up, and over time these layers recede to reveal a vivid spectrum of indigo.
To highlight this from the start the garment has been rinse washed, giving the fabric added texture and uncovering indigo tones from within the yarn.
