Karui Stretch Selvedge
Last week we brought back the Ichiban Selvedge which was the first denim we developed for our partnership with drop.com. Now we’re bring back another fan favorite, the Karui Stretch Selvedge a 10oz lightweight Japanese Selvedge denim made with 2% stretch. Just like the Ichiban Selvedge, the Karui Stretch Selvedge was designed to bridge the gap and make it easy for those getting into raw denim for the first time. The 10oz weight is a little bit lighter than the standard 12.5oz denim you’ll find, and the addition of stretch means break in times are reduced significantly. Since the denim contains only 2% stretch the jeans move with you, but don’t feel like a pair of jeggings. The Karui Stretch Selvedge is not only great for newcomers to raw denim, but also for those looking for a clean pair of dark indigo jeans. Many of us are returning to a more casual work environment, and the Karui Stretch Selvedge will be easy and comfortable to wear all day long. The denim itself has a smooth surface texture, and is paired up with a classic redlinle selvedge ID. The denim is made with rope dyed indigo yarns, and is woven in Okayama, Japan on vintage shuttle looms. Other details include silver metallic buttons and rivets, and a natural veg tan leather patch. When these jeans were originally released, they were only available in the Weird Guy, but now they will be offered in the Super Guy, Weird Guy, Easy Guy, Strong Guy as well as our women’s Classic, Max and High Skinny.
