Momotaro 10th Anniversary Selvedge Denim

The slogan of Japan’s Momotaro Jeans is “made by hand without compromise,” and in celebration of their 10th birthday this year, they have produced a special edition denim that is, without a doubt, uncompromising in its attention to detail. The 10th Anniversary Selvedge Denim is made from super slubby 100% Zimbabwe cotton that weighs in at 15.7oz and features a brand new gold and peach selvedge ID.

In addition to Momotaro’s signature peach-colored inseam stitching and bright white printed battle stripes, the 10th Anniversary jeans feature an indigo-dyed and printed canvas yoke lining, custom gold and indigo rayon tags, and a foil-embossed, natural cowhide leather patch from the famous Tochigi Leather factory.

Custom copper rivets are used throughout and are accentuated by a unique button fly that includes examples of every single button style Momotaro has issued over the last ten years.

Special jacquard woven pocket bags are individually printed with Momotaro’s slogan in Japanese and a message of thanks in English.

As if all of these details weren’t enough, every pair of Momotaro’s 10th Anniversary Selvedge Denim comes with a printed cotton canvas draw-string bag and a special edition, indigo-dyed bandana.
