Naked & Famous Denim x Ghostbusters
We are excited to announce the upcoming release of our Naked & Famous Denim X Ghostbusters® capsule collection. This limited-edition collection, which consists of 2 Ghostbusters® inspired denim fabrics, as well as two denim jackets, are slated be released on Oct 21st 2019 at 11:30AM (EST).
The collection features unique fabrics inspired by the classic 1984 film Ghostbusters®. The first jean, named "Slimer Denim", is made with a fully glow-in-the-dark stretch denim, which turns a ectoplasmic green color in the dark. The second style of jeans, dubbed the "Supernatural Selvedge", is a beautiful dark indigo Japanese selvedge denim with glow-in-the-dark selvedge edges. Other details include printed pocketbags, "no-ghost" logo embroidery on back pocket and custom glow-in-the-dark leather patch. Both fabrics will be available in our 3 most popular fits, Super Guy, Weird Guy and Easy Guy.
Two black selvedge denim jackets round out the offering; each featuring a large custom chenille patch on the back. Less than 100 units were made for each of these limited-edition jackets.
All products in this capsule collection will be sold with a dual-branded UV blacklight keychain flashlight that the wearer can play with and "draw" glowing lines on their jeans!
"Working with Sony Pictures Entertainment on this unique project has truly been so much fun!" says N&F founder Brandon Svarc, "The classic movie, as well as the toys and animated series which followed it, were so much a part of our childhood. We are so fortunate that we get to draw inspiration from it again and combine nostalgia with our passion for denim."
N&F Creative & Sales Director Bahzad Trinos adds, "My favorite piece of the collection has got to be the Ghostbusters® Club Jacket featuring the famous motto “I ain't afraid of no ghost”. Being a huge fan of Ghostbusters I knew we had to make something really special, and the chenille embroidered patches came out beautifully. Combining my love of denim and Ghostbusters has been a dream come true.”
