Embrace the Stretch: Why the Blue Comfort Selvedge Redefines Denim
When it comes to raw denim, it often feels like a trade-off between comfort and durability. Raw jeans do break in and become more comfortable over time, but that comfort is usually earned rather than given. This season, we aim to challenge this tradition with the introduction of the Blue Comfort Stretch Selvedge—a denim that offers immediate comfort while still delivering the raw denim experience we're renowned for. Crafted from 13.75oz Japanese Stretch Selvedge Denim, this fabric is designed to flex and move with you, providing unparalleled levels of comfort with every wear.
The name Blue Comfort Stretch might ring a bell for many, and for good reason. This fabric has been a staple in the Naked & Famous Denim Core collection for several seasons. Our high-power stretch performance denim mimics the heft and feel of a one-wash raw jean, yet it boasts incredible flexibility that always snaps back to its original shape. Previously, this fabric was produced on projectile looms, better suited for crafting performance stretch denim. However, after years of development, we're thrilled to offer this fabric with the traditional shuttle loom selvedge construction.
The rich indigo rope-dyed exterior warp yarns capture the essence of traditional raw denim. Made from 100% cotton, these yarns are designed to age gracefully, developing a beautiful fade over time. Meanwhile, the interior weft houses the performance stretch fibers, enabling maximum horizontal movement and ensuring each pair of jeans supports your every move comfortably.
Traditional details are found throughout the jeans, contrast stitching, brown raging bull leather patch and silver metallic rivets. You’ll also find a classic redline selvedge ID, a nod to the heritage of quality denim.
As we welcome the Blue Comfort Stretch Selvedge into our collection, we invite all raw denim enthusiasts to embrace a new level of comfort. These jeans are designed to meet the demands of your daily life, whether you're in the field or behind a desk, offering unmatched flexibility and classic style.
